The purpose of our Prayer & Care Ministry is to actively encourage and edify our church community. As needs arise, we support and come alongside one another by offering prayer and other ways of care.

During Sunday services, individuals are encouraged to submit written prayer requests, which are collected and prayed over by our women's prayer team and by the elders during the week. Members of our prayer chain are committed to praying for the special needs and concerns of our people. Also, immediately after the sermon, the prayer room is opened on Sunday mornings to all who would like to pray with our volunteer prayer team. For more information about our Prayer & Care Ministry, please contact

SUBMIT PRAYER REQUESTS

Elders-Only Prayer Requests
Our elders pray weekly for all requests submitted through the Welcome/Prayer Cards marked "Elders Only." These are confidential and are seen only by the elders.  Welcome/Prayer Cards are available at the information counter or in auditorium chair seatbacks.

Elders & OCF Prayer Team Requests
Prayer requests submitted through the Welcome/Prayer Cards are marked "Elders and OCF Prayer Team." Our elders, women's prayer team, and prayer chain pray for all requests on the prayer list, which is updated weekly.  All prayer requests are confidential.  If you would like to submit a prayer request to our elders and prayer teams, please email Wanda Yetter.

JOIN A PRAYER TEAM

Sunday Service Prayer Team
Every Sunday, we have wonderful prayer warriors at each service available to pray with church attenders at any point after the sermon.  If you would like to serve as one of our prayer warriors, please contact Lee and Tippy Short.

Women's Prayer Team
Our Women's Prayer team meets weekly at OCF to pray for the needs of our church community, local cities, nation and world.  If you would like to be part of our Women's Prayer Team, please contact Wanda Yetter.

OCF Prayer Chain
The greatest act of love we can offer our brothers and sisters is praying over them.  Our Prayer Chain is an email and phone resource that enables the church body to submit urgent prayer requests.  As part of our Prayer Chain, you will be emailed urgent and confidential requests as they come in.  To join our Prayer Chain or to submit a prayer request to our Prayer Chain, please contact Lee and Tippy Short.

PRAYER GROUP

The Power of a Praying Wife
OCF | 2nd & 4th Saturdays | 6:30am
This group is a women's prayer group that uses "The Power of a Praying Wife" by Stormie O'Martian.  Here wives come together and pray for their husbands as well as receive guidance and wisdom for their real life circumstances.  This group meets faithfully every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 6:30am-7:30am in the OCF Prayer Room.  For more information, please contact Beth Lee.

CARE MINISTRIES

Meals Ministry
Through a team of wonderful OCF volunteers, we provide meals to church members in times of need - after the birth of a baby, after surgery or hospitalization, times of crisis, etc.  The meals ministry coordinator is made aware of a need, either through a direct request for help or through a referral by someone within the church.  Volunteers are then contacted and asked to provide a meal (home cooked or purchased) and to deliver it to the recipient's home.  If you would like to be part of our team or receive help from our team, please contact Karen Gasperian.

R.O.C.K (Remembering Our College Kids)
Every June at Promotion Sunday our congregation prays for our graduating seniors who will be heading into jobs, local colleges, out-of-state colleges, and even abroad.  Here's an opportunity to encourage, support and love our students as they enter into this next stage - Become a R.O.C.K. mentor!

As a R.O.C.K. mentor, you will be matched with one of our students and have the chance to build a relationship with them.  If you can mail a postcard, offer spiritual support, and pray, then you can be a R.O.C.K. mentor! For more information, please contact Kinda Anderson.
