Prayer & Care
The purpose of our Prayer & Care Ministry is to actively encourage and edify our church community. As needs arise, we support and come alongside one another by offering prayer and other ways of care.
JOIN A PRAYER TEAM
Sunday Service Prayer Team
Every Sunday, we have wonderful prayer warriors at each service available to pray with church attenders at any point after the sermon. If you would like to serve as one of our prayer warriors, please contact Tippy Short.
Women's Prayer Team
Our Women's Prayer team meets weekly at OCF to pray for the needs of our church community, local cities, nation and world. If you would like to be part of our Women's Prayer Team, please contact Wanda Yetter.
OCF Prayer Chain
The greatest act of love we can offer our brothers and sisters is praying over them. Our Prayer Chain is an email and phone resource that enables the church body to submit urgent prayer requests. As part of our Prayer Chain, you will be emailed urgent and confidential requests as they come in. To join our Prayer Chain or to submit a prayer request to our Prayer Chain, please contact Tippy Short.
The Power of a Praying Wife
OCF | 2nd & 4th Saturdays | 6:30am
This group is a women's prayer group that uses "The Power of a Praying Wife" by Stormie O'Martian. Here wives come together and pray for their husbands as well as receive guidance and wisdom for their real life circumstances. This group meets faithfully every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 6:30am-7:30am in the OCF Prayer Room. For more information, please contact Beth Lee.
Through a team of wonderful OCF volunteers, we provide meals to church members in times of need - after the birth of a baby, after surgery or hospitalization, times of crisis, etc. The meals ministry coordinator is made aware of a need, either through a direct request for help or through a referral by someone within the church. Volunteers are then contacted and asked to provide a meal (home cooked or purchased) and to deliver it to the recipient's home. If you would like to be part of our team or receive help from our team, please contact Karen Gasperian.
R.O.C.K (Remembering Our College Kids)
Every June at Promotion Sunday our congregation prays for our graduating seniors who will be heading into jobs, local colleges, out-of-state colleges, and even abroad. Here's an opportunity to encourage, support and love our students as they enter into this next stage - Become a R.O.C.K. mentor!
As a R.O.C.K. mentor, you will be matched with one of our students and have the chance to build a relationship with them. If you can mail a postcard, offer spiritual support, and pray, then you can be a R.O.C.K. mentor! For more information, please contact Kindra Anderson.
None of us should have to face major life decisions alone. Here at OCF, we believe that we make better decisions when we combine our own knowledge with the wisdom of our brothers and sisters in Christ. To help facilitate the decision-making process, we offer Wisdom Councils to help you wisely navigate the sometimes challenging crossroads in our lives. A Wisdom Council is a group of 5-6 mature OCF members who gather together one time to offer input and insight about a key decision in an individual’s life. If you would like more information about Wisdom Councils, please contact Janis Bice.
